Safe Conversations in a Relationship

This week, we will be doing something a little different for our blog and sharing a helpful short video one of our practitioners enjoyed.

Judi has shared with us a helpful reel about needs and connection in a relationship:

The key themes here are allowing your partner to feel seen, heard, and safe.

It can be hard sometimes to not immediately get defensive or dismissive when your partner voices something you may not necessarily agree with. Noticing and reducing these automatic responses can allow you to create a safe space for them to express themselves and provide an opportunity for bonding and deep connection. This helps not only your partner, but the relationship and yourself in the long run.

While the above is intended for romantic relationships, much of this is relevant for conversations with any of our loved ones.

We hope you have enjoyed this shorter installment to our blog! We hope to bring you more interesting pieces inspired by our wonderful practitioners.

Wishing you a wonderful week,

TCS Team
